The garden is divided into zones for seating, planting, play and space for garden office with further adjacent seating.
Bi-fold doors lead to a paved area partly enclosed by bright rendered walls and a built-in bench/log store. Steps up lead through a gravel area - planted with Italian Stone Pines and aromatic shrubs - to the lawn and timber deck. Stainless steel wires are bolted to brickwork and suspended above to support climbing Wisterias.
Water is included in the form of a steel rill pouring through a rendered wall into the lower gravel area. This is intended as part decorative feature, part interactive play item for the client’s children.
